Enjoy American history presentations and collections, interactive train layouts, President Lincoln's Funeral Journey, a ride on our recreated funeral car United States, hands-on activities, and more.

The Gettysburg Lincoln Railroad Station, which operated from 1858 to 1942 and served as a hospital during the Battle of Gettysburg, a transportation depot for both incoming resources and supplies, as well as outgoing wounded after the battle, and the place where President Lincoln arrived in Gettysburg on his journey to deliver the Gettysburg Address.

Experience President Abraham Lincoln’s immortal Gettysburg Address in the place, in which it was written, and visit the historic David Wills House, in the center of downtown Gettysburg. The home of lawyer David Wills was the site where Lincoln would stay and finish the Gettysburg Address on the evening of November 18, 1863.

The Northern Central Railway in New Freedom, Pennsylvania operates a passenger steam train that  chronicles the railway's role in Civil War history along the Northern Central Railway route. On weekdays, visit the Peace Light Memorial early and you just might get lucky and get a shot of the Gettysburg 107, a GP10 L Diesel Locomotive that was built in 1955 for the Pennsylvania Railroad as it delivers commodities such as canned goods along a 25-mile track from Gettysburg through Biglerville, Aspers, and Gardners to Mount Holly Springs.

Walk in President Lincoln's footsteps as you explore the hallowed and historic Soldiers' National Cemetery. President Abraham Lincoln arrived in Gettysburg on November 18, 1863 to deliver "a few remarks" which would be known as the Gettysburg Address. He delivered the address at the ceremonies dedicating the Soldiers' National Cemetery the next day.
