We share parking with the Friendly's restaurant beside us as well as have metered parking on Steinwher Ave. in front of our museum. We suggest the metered parking for ease of access to our handicap ramp for guests using wheelchairs and walkers as well as for bus drop off and pick up. Busses can be moved to park along John's Avenue or in the Gettysburg Heritage Center Lot at 297 Steinwehr Ave. to await pickup of guests.

We recommend that disabled passengers park or are dropped off at the metered parking in front of the gift shop entrance. The accessibility ramp leads from the left front side of the building to a side museum entrance door. For your convenience, we recommend you call upon arrival or send an accompanying guest through the gift shop entrance to alert us to the need of opening the museum side entrance door. We do have two programs in our museum that are not able to be equipped with ramps, our Hallway of American History and our Simulated Funeral Car United States. Both programs have three steps leading to their entrances. Any individual unable to access these programs will not be charged admission to enjoy the remainder of the museum.

The museum offers the ideal opportunity to learn and be inspired by our nation's history.
Though not required, group reservations are recommended!
