The minimum size for the group rate is 10 people. The group rate is $4.00 per adult and $3.00 per student or senior citizen. If you are a licensed tour operator, please call us for operator pricing. Kindergarten and 1st grade students are recommended to have an adult/chaperone for every 6 students; older student groups should have an adult/chaperone for every 10 students. Teachers and chaperones are responsible for supervising the students.

For groups, the museum can accommodate up to 60 individuals at one time in segmented groups no larger than 12 individuals. We suggest reservations of a minimum of 90 minutes for groups of 45 to 50  individuals. Groups of 30 to 45 individuals are recommended to reserve a minimum of 75 minutes. We do not recommend less than one hour for group tours of up to 30 individuals. Groups of 10 or more who wish to schedule a special tour of our museum may contact us by calling (717) 334-5678 or by

We share parking with the Friendly's Restaurant beside us as well as also having metered parking on Steinwehr Avenue in front of our museum. We suggest the metered parking for access to our ramp for guests using wheelchairs and walkers as well as for bus drop-off and pick-up. Buses can then be moved to park along Johns Avenue or in the Gettysburg Heritage Center parking lot at 297 Steinwehr Avenue.

We recommend that individuals with disabilities should park or are dropped off at the metered parking
in front of the gift shop entrance. The accessibility ramp leads from the left front side of the building
to a side museum entrance door. For your convenience, we recommend you call upon arrival or send an accompanying guest through the gift shop entrance to alert us to the need of opening the museum side entrance door. We do have two programs in our museum that are not able to be equipped with ramps, our Hallway of American History and our Simulated Funeral Car. Both programs have three steps
leading to their entrances. Any individual unable to access these programs will not be charged
admission to enjoy the remainder of the museum.

Though not required, group reservations are recommended!
